    Auckland Rescue Helicopter Ride. TV Coverage

    Hi all. Please let anyone you know who may be interested. There is a segment on Close Up tonight about the ride last Sunday and about the problems we are facing with getting approval to run the ride next year. Thats Close Up, Tuesday the 13 Feb.

    Yeah that pisses me off. It's okay for some gang to close down the harbour bridge for a bitch session but try and raise some money for charity and the pricks wanna charge you.

    Thanks for the heads up, but bear in mind if you are a licensed rider or driver you don't need approval to use a public road in/on a registered and warranted vehicle.

    Or as we like to say: Fuck 'em! Do it anyway.

    if it was not for the local rescue chopper I could quite easily be dead. You just never know when you'll need the service eh...

    So .... funding of the other emergency services helicopters... comes from where?

    Police?

    Fire?

    Why does the transport arm of the health system need to be privately funded (St John's, Wesrpac helicopter)? Is it just me or is there something wrong with this picture?

    Did anyone video it or record it on their dvd recorder , wouldn`t mind a copy if possible ,I went to record it , but my video won`t record with no frikin video tape in it, if anyone did could I grab a copy please , will pay for shipping , all the KBers in Argentina need not apply . Thanks p.s will pay for the tape/cd as well.
