I was heading out to SH1 today along Ratanui Rd in Paraparaumu at about 3:15pm, when we came across what looked like a red VTR1000 vs a white station wagon - head on.

The bikes front end was gone and but I wasn't able to see the rider. EMS were there and another fire engine and cop car were behind us. Looked like a couple of other riders (one on a speed triple, didn't quite get the other bike) where riding with with this person.

I just really hope that the rider was ok. The ole heart was in my mouth when I saw that a fellow rider was involved.
