Smile Newbie just wanted to say HI (hitch)

Hello everyone, my kids have grown a bit, I can now look at getting my bike license and my first road bike. Yeah . Something for me! I am about to sit my bike handling cert in a couple of weeks and off to look and hopefully get my first bike today. Oh yeah, woo hoo. Up untill now I have been on da back of a 1200 sporty - which has just been upgraded to a 1200 buell, its cool to be on the back - but even cooler bringing up the rear on my own. I hope to do lots and lots of k's. Hope to meet some really cool people here and read some good advise and get a laugh or two. Have a good one.

Howdy Hitch! Welcome aboard! Sounds like you're a similar age & stage to me... just starting out on the big front-end adventure.

By the way you can legally ride on the back end of a 1200... that's 600 for you and 600 for your chauffeur. Share & share alike I say.

    Hi Hitch

Welcome to KB - they are really friendly towards us newbies.

I am a newbie too, redid the handling test today, got my learners in 2003, had a fall and haven't touched a bike since, except for being pillion.

Getting my bike next week, really looking forward to it!

    All the best

    yeah, what she said!

I found KB due to Crashe (thanks again!) and I still havent met her/him (?)in person but feel like I know them, cos KB is awesomely friendly. All of you should go on the 250 rides, it's great for meeting people and having a fun ride.

One of you is from South Auckland right? The rides leave from Botany so are perfect for us newbies from the South and East.
