Due to family commitments I didn't get to either the BSB event at Cadwell park or the MotoGP at Brno, so there isn't too much to report about my trip... well not from M/C perspective anyway.

Anyone got a spare seat for this curry gig 2moro night? I'm in Churton Park but can be where I need to be to pick up a lift... work at the Thorndon end of town if that helps. I'll deal with the getting home issue when the time comes.

Yup. Drink coffee (especially in the morning), get plenty of sunlight, and take some tablets made of an African plant called griffonia. I can't remember the name of the various things it's marketed as, but I think the Healtheries one is called "Relaxing Sleep". The seeds of griffonia are rich in an amino acid that breaks down to form serotonin, and serotonin is produced by your body partly to regulate your sleep/wake cycles. Caffeine and sunlight (and extra serotonin) help to set your body clock back to normal.
You can get the various tablets from the supermarket or chemist. They're supposed to help you sleep if taken one hour before you go to bed, but they may just wake you up the first time you take them (depending on your metabolism) but be OK after that.

Mate, I haven't been near work yet, but I'm guessing it's all a bit ugly now. Can we get to those spaces at the back of the Nat Library? I figured they were for those workers only and we might have had to go on the street front? I also noted in the past that there were many bikes parked up off the road next to Vogal House... maybe we could use that?

I have tended to keep away from the motorcycle parks in the front of the library on Aitken St as I've seen so many casualties of the ignorant fuckhead cage drivers who can't seem to reverse out of their parks on the other side of the road without collecting at least one or two motorcycles. Plus the tour buses also like to park in the motorcycle parks and I've seen a couple of motorcyclists almost come to blows with the bus drivers over ownership of the parks. If there are no bikes in the parks everyone seems to think its their god-given right to park either their cage or bus there. Natural reaction I suppose given their jealousy of Wellington's attitude to motorcycle parking. (For those that don't live here, Wellington city has a policy that motorcyclists do not need to pay to park in town. Everyone else must pay either $3 or $4 an hour to park).

The parks at the back of the library are not very well utilised. There are six or eight parks there. A CB750 Bold'Or and an RZ350 regularly park there and a couple of other part-timers, so there's definitely room for both your and my bike there.

And of course, when they finish that underground car park under the new Defence building, there will be heaps of room for your bike!

i use to do contract work at the min of ed, thats their parks. the guy who patrols them is pretty easy and should let you off. worse case leave your details on the bike. what about parking over by the enterance to the freyberg building?? a few jokers normally park over there

That's the building we normally park at. Go take a look at it. And then try and get a road bike over the 12 foot gap they've dug right in front of the building, which is about 8 foot wide, then stop in around 6 feet.
