There's a road running through the domain from stanley st up to the museum.
It has a 30k speed limit and is nice and windy.

I took a practice ride through there one day, came round a corner and encountered a red FTO doing about 80k on my side of the road as he cut teh corner.

    Nearly shat myself

But luckily he got back over in time.

Suffice to say, not everyone drives slow through there

Two Wheels just gets better everyday.

Also look down at Club 250 forum where we are always organising learner freindly rides through the countryside on weekends. Thats how I improved was on those rides around like minded people and away from cager infested streets.

I live not far from you Krd/ponsonby rd and had similar problems when I first started in January. I just kept close to home, round ponsonby, grey lynn etc until you get the hang of the clutch, throttle and braking etc. The park is a great place to cruise through, but watch out for those speed bumps, dogs and pedestrians that dont look before they walk out in front of traffic. If you are after a parking lot, use the one at the back of the medical school after everyone has left for the day - bout 18:30 or so it clears out.
Probably see you on the road neighbour

    Lteejay,

Thanks for that, i'll check out the parking lot tomorrow. Seeing as it's both myself and my wife riding, its been alot of fun just bombing up and down the local streets comparing notes. If anyone is ever in the area one night yell out, we could use any pointers...
