My bike passed her first 100km...

....and I had my 1st spill

Well what can I say Trying to do mutch to soon .... but it looked so simple ... hind. site is 20:20.

Was moving the bike round the back of the house, just up a slight incline and to the right, thru a gate and holly shit it would be Done...doing around 15ks

In stead I was going up the "slight incline" and got a little nevice -read="oh shit, what the F*ck you doing you dickhead!" well I lost concentration and slightly lost control...well ok completly lost control...long story short sort of fell off and head butted the fence...

Did I learn anything?...hell no...I mean Hell yes....

    1, Be more patient!
2, Don't try to do things that are out of your legue, think about it before you even think about doing it!
3, you need some more practice....alot more!
4, Don't fall off you bloody oaf, it hurts...170 kg of bike falling on you ...well youll feel it!
5, Always....I'll say it again...ALWAYS wear your effing Helmet even if your moving it 6 odd meters, you never know what will happin...seat belt type thing!
6, well shit....keep you effing wrist straight, it could be the differnets between control and no control....

Man its easy to keep your heads up on the road just riding around and when things are going well.... but when your going slow and doing something a little diferent...well its Easier said then done, you feel you want to see what the bike is doing, when really its you thats doing it to the bike...lol

Well said! lol That's the trap I get into too, not just trusting the bike to go where i put it, and looking down to see what's going on. Excellent lesson.

Oouch - sounds painful. But lesson well learnt by the sounds of it.

It's called 'target fixation' - and it was a brand new fence... in fact, "not even completed yet" fence. ...bike sort of 'fell over' before I hit the fence though....

    Carpark Practice

    Cool looking bike fridsy.

You did well in the carpark today practising the countersteering, slow straight line bike control, full circle turning, u-turning, and braking practise.

The uphill start routine I have left you with will get you using all your bike's resources: clutch/brake/throttle/ and your safety regime: mirrors signal head check.

Let me know a fortnight or so out and we can go for a review ride.

    Heads Up and Enjoy
