Unhappy I'm down but not out.

Crappety crap. Just been SMIDSY'd. Pootling along through town behind a lorry, lorry turned left at junction, car at the junction decided to pull out as he hadn't seen me behind the lorry. Of course he hadn't seen me...there was a @#$ckin lorry in the way.

"they're not..(start braking) no they're not (braking harder) surely they'll see. (front end sliding)..they've seen me now (foo @#$ckin late). At which point the viffer was beyond recovery so I abandoned her as I didn't want her landing on me (fond memories of footpeg gouging out ankle many moons ago)

First time I've been on my arse at the side of a bike in over 10 years. Just scrawps and bruising to my left leg. Probably be up like a balloon tomorrow. Cancelled this afternoon's appointments.

Sods law that it was about the only time this year I've been out without leather or cordura strides. Like many accidents it was 50m from my own house. Next time you're going for a pootle around town at sub 50k speeds don't be tempted to forgoe your leathers.

Viffer isn't looking so good. Bent rear brake lever, chunk out of right fairing. Think fairing frame thingie is bent. Indicator pushed in. Plastics at back look like their out of place too. Going to LBS to be checked out and I'm worried it's bent the front forks.

Nice lorry driver stopped and gave me his details and reckoned it was all the other person's fault.

    Cool

Shit, glad to hear that you are ok......

Arnica cream or tabs will help with the bruising...

    Bad luck, Dude.
I hope your leg (and your bike) are alright.

That nearly happened to me this morning too - same circumstances. Truck turns left, I go round the outside (like the Buffalo Girls), and there's a car turning right in front of the truck and towards me, and going up the median strip. I saw the car before he saw me, and there was room betwixt truck and car, so I just tootled him melodiously and vigorously with my three horns.
In my case, it would've been my fault, as instead of waiting for the truck to turn off, I went around it.
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....

Bugger to hear about the spill...

I wouldn't be so sure about using colloidal silver. Sounds like it's a bit risky when there are plenty of other anti-microbial treatments around that won't make your skin turn permanently grey!.

I used to do that myself until some numbskull did exactly the same thing as this morning to me (actually, they were flashed/waved out by the car I was passing).

For sure DMNTD. A ZX10 motor, some cable ties and plenty of gaffer tape (if you have any left that is) and she'll be sweet as.
