So what is the difference between the R and non R model? suspension and such?

Cheers for the heads up, whats the best way to check them? Guessing a forwards/back push pull and feel for play?

Just tip it back on the side stand and get someone to grab the front wheel & give her a wriggle back & forward. If they're stuffed like on my mates 02R you could feel it by applying the front break & rocking it back & forward !

In the pre 04's (Factory 04 onwards) the R's had all the bling,carbon fibre guards,instument surround,oz racing wheels, ohlins suspension front & rear and an ohlins steering dampner,& 00-02 most R's had no subframe for a pillion, think it was 03 that the fitted they subframe to all R's.
