    ????

    Case workers have NO business providing ANY input into medical decisions. If a case manager tries to influence your medical treatment in ANY way complain BIG time. It's a big big big no-no, and they can (and have been) sacked for it.

    My advice;

    All govt organisations are accountable to a Minister of the crown. I think Ruth Dyson is the minister of ACC, you should be able to look it up on the internet and get her postal address. Send her a letter, her office will send an official letter to the RM or Area Manager of ACC, asking for information about your situation. And that’s all it’ll take.
    One of the measures of success for all government departments is how many ‘ministerials’ they receive. They (we) always end up bending over backwards to sort things out rather than upset the Ministers office.

    Well.....I have just been transfered to the Long Term Claims Dept in Auck. Will either be better or worse. No one told me the file was being transfered until the letter from new case manager.

    My Occ therapist has no info forwarded to her, I have to supply it.

    My Occ assesment identified a number of jobs suitable.... Number 1...Managing Director!

    What a load of crock....

    Any one had any dealings with LTCU in Auck?

    ACC main priority is to get you back into your old job, then the next closest that you are qualified for. If you want to get into computers with training make sure it gets high up in the list of jobs you are partially qualified for or at least are very interested in on your Occ assesment.

    As explained to me...No training for any thing not on list of suitable jobs...then only as little as possible.

    Just my 2 cents...good luck

You do have to follow their way of doing things, otherwise you get jack shit...
    Good advice, recently have been down the track battling ACC with and on behalf of a friend/workmate.......he got the royal flick from ACC (he was returning to employment from a series of back operations, reinjured himself, and got hung out to dry) There are official places to make complaints to, use them, and if justified you can be sure you will be heard, otherwise take it further up the ladder.........play by their rules, do what they need you to do...........it works both ways....good luck!
