    Thumbs up Update Number 2!

Great, after a lot of fucking around, the taxi driver has finally admitted liability. He sent in his statement (see attached) and basically the insurance company said "with a statement like that you'd better admit liability...".

So sweet, assessor came round took a look at a it, sounds like it'll be a write-off, which really fucks me off as I'll probably get fuck all for it and have to buy a shitta... Anyways now just waiting on a couple of valuations, hopefully high ones cause it was a minter

ummm....i see now....vehicles going straight down the road are supposed to give way to vehicles making u-turns in front of them....oooohhhhh.....glad he straightened me out on that one.....phew!!

what a dreamer! i can't believe he actually sent that letter hahaha..."Hi, I'd like to give evidence against myself....."

Good to see that racism isn't a problem on KB.

I got taken out by a cabbie in London donkeys years back. You'd be amazed at how many witnesses he rustled up...all cabbies as well, and all in the same spot at the same time. What a convenient coincidence for him. Yeah Right!

Got me an old ZXR750, not any newer than the ZZR but it's definately tidier than the ZZR.

Injuries - long gone, bit of bruising and that was it. Luckily I know how to skid along the ground, was just like a slip'n'slide!!

    Hi,
glad you got it all sorted out.
I'm just curious, did you find out exactly which country the taxi driver was from? 'Foreign' covers a lot of ground. What he wrote in his letter is actually legal in many other places, i.e it's up to you (generic 'you') to get out of the way, therefore if you have a crash it's automatically your fault simply because you were there. Scary stuff! But no excuse for it in NZ as a 'professional' taxi driver.

Also, it seems to have taken three months from crash to insurance settlement - is this length of time normal, or was there some special holdup? I'm just trying to gauge how the system works.
