Most landfills or transfer stations have a drum for used oil. It's usually in the recycling centre and free to dispose of oil there.

Thanx to all who have offered good info on disposal of waste.

The irony is that even the sociopathic Finn provided good advice (ie Westhaven Marina) amongst all his B.S

Report them to your Regional Council. It's illegal.

Yeah, so when the tanks are nice and full, I drill a hole in the bottom and it drains out into the harbour. It's really difficult cleaning up an oil slick with all those boats in the way.

Do they have resource consent from the Regional Council to apply a contaminant to land ? I would hate to think so.

If so, it flies in the face of the RMA. You southern folk need to get with the times

When you only have about 3 people per square mile and the largest amount of gravel roads for a district of this size you can get away with it.

So in fact, dust suppression isn't really an issue ? Why do they do it ?

Bit like all the inbreeding that goes on down there, but like land contaminant, after a while, things get real ugly.
