English B grade roads off limits to bikers

Just reading "TWO" (two wheels only) magazine and there is a article on how the policey makers are advocating that B grade roads ie not main roads, will be not available to Motorcyclists if they get there way Ie you go on them you get fined.
Reason is the spate of high speed crashes involving bikes on these roads.
Now all I can say is FUCKEN HELL, where would the poor buggars go (BOB ?)
and imagine if the silly pricks advocate a similair policy here in NZ that would stuff a good ride wouldnt it, perhaps because of the complexity of our roading system it might not work?
Good reason to not encourage the pricks and keep upright and remember it is a public road that we enjoy I think some of the english have forgoten this from what ive read.

We're safe. None of our roads are anywhere near good enough to be classified as "B" grade.

I live on a 'C' road. How will I get home?

Anyway this is only a summer problem. Come the winter most bikes disappear and the accident rate drops accordingly. Govt will lose interest and move onto another deserving group.

Although I detest the thought of something like that happening, here or in pommyland, to some extent the Pommy M/cyclist is the reason for it. Have you seen how many Pommy M/cyclists go totally bananas when off the main Hi-way(actually some dont even wait till they are off Hi-way)
As Q said, keep it out of sight and stay upright.

I`ve been making myself very unpopular(just for a change) elsewhere on the web saying exactly that.Some of the cretins that come out in the summer on bikes they cant handle are just plain scary to watch.I wonder how much of what you`ve seen is these same jerks thinking they cant lose their licences in N.Z. so go for it.I`ve seen people videoing wheelies on a busy public road,one of those guys stuffed his GSXR into a wall a few weeks later,impressive machine control asshole, and have had to take avoiding action on a country road when god knows what came right at me on my side of the road,if I`d been in a car he`d be dead,simple as that.these prats come out every summer with illegal pipes breaking every road law in the book then garaging them in Autumn while the rest of us get the bad rep for them trashing themselves and racing everything on the road.I`d say at least 50% of the bikers I see in summer are frigging idiots and just asking for trouble,they pick country roads because of the lack of cameras or police,the same lack that would make a ban of bikes on B roads impossible to enforce.Didn`t see the TWO article and havn`t heard about it elsewhere.

Hmmmm, banning motorbikes from B roads...well they are already trying to ban them from RUPEs (green lanes). Don't think it could happen somehow....more likely they'll gather some more speed revenue and fund a helicopter to catch the nutters. Will be interesting to see what the roads are like on 2 wheels.....maybe I'll wait till the winter before I put my bike back on the road
