Have you read this book? "Proficient Motorcycling" by David L Hough

Howdy folks

I've seen this book recommended on an overseas website, plus the sequel
"More Proficient Motorcycling - Mastering the Ride".

I believe they are American books, so would be interested to hear any kiwi's opinions before I order it/them?

Any comments muchly appreciated!

Yep, got both the books - read them, re-read them , re-read them again...and ... re-reading ... haven't done it in a little whiles, but dizzam, now you got me thinking I'd better do it again tonight.

(I lent my proficient book out to somebody...must get it back off them ASAP! )

damn good reads, even if you have to flip the instructions around - it really makes you think about the art of riding!

I have a copy, but it's great so it's not for sale.
Buy one!
Twist of the Wrist is good too, but much more race oriented. THis one has heaps of good knowledge for the road rider.

I've read some of the first one, lucky for me the local library has a copy. I recommend it, it's a good book.

Brilliant book, read and read it often, he put a lot of thought into it, worth having your own copy. Wouldn't sell mine.

Any other books you can recommend? It's just tarmac and the odd bit of gravel, and perhaps the odd very tame track for me at the mo!

Cool. I found it very "transferrable" for a US book - not too much Right-Hand-Side stuff. The Amazon listing only has one review - some git from New Zealand...
