What a load of crap - give the bike to someone who can ride it.

    What he said !!
Never ridden an R1 but it seemed a pretty poor display of skill.
For 1. I'm sure an R1 has plenty of usable power below 10,000. Perhaps this rider had just stepped up from a 250

We have a new Fazer over at KR at the moment - I rode it from Hamilton to Akl yesterday.
Even the streetified version doesn't have very much going on under 7,000rpm - but it does 125kph @ 12,000rpm - in first gear.

Looked to me like he was just following and filming the ride, as it was obvious in places he could have taken the BMW as easily as the other biker did. The BMW was going hard but the R1 had plenty left. Don't think they were racing each other, just enjoying themselves for the vid.

I agree, thought he was just filming a good ride/drive. No sense in being in front, can't film himself and the M3 if he was.

that guy coulda ridden a whole lot better than that but it was probably more of a cruise, i'd be right up that m3's *** to make him push it then pop it in 2nd and go past on one wheel hahahahaha. maybe not..m3's are pretty serious cars...

Was it me or did the speed of the M3 and the R1 increase after they got passed by the other bike? The R1 seemed to be using a lot more of the rev range.

yeah seemed that way, the r1 was just riding around in 2nd most of the time, you can tell by the speedo that he ain't really gassing it just using high rpm.. 150-160 in about a second is not using that bikes potential.. hell it could probably do that in 5-6th gear...
