TTR600 thumper 20km/l on open road
    vespa 150 2T 25 km/l + 2% oil ~ 25km/20ml oil = 1250km on a litre of 2T
1100 suzuki 16km/l ridden more or less at legal speed.

How about a TL1000s ridden conservatively?
    Insert witticism.

    Different consumptions for main/back roads

Done a fair few kms in the last few months and there is a marked difference between riding SH1 and back roads. SH1 stuff, where you have to fit in with traffic and go as slow/fast as it allows gives me 32+ km/ltr. Free riding, like Coro Loop gives 28ish and commuting down to 25.
I don't break speed limits very much so it's all about acceleration that makes the difference.

Honda CB1300, consistently 50+mpg, 18-19km per litre and 300km before the reserve signal lights up. Big lazy engine with plenty of torque at low revs. Nice.

    about 17.3 km per litre

270 km out of 15.6 litres

guess about 7 litres per 100 km
someone may be able to the figures bit better
    thats on a 1200

i used to get about 230 km on a 250 cc single dont recall the tank size it was a KLR trailbike then the reserve after that

really tends to depend on how much beans you're giving the bike..rode new TL back from palmy, 350kms or so, think its a 15 litre tank and i only had to fill it up once..on the way back for my new jacket i gave it a bit more of the death and saw very poor (read: total shit) mileage (kilometrage? silly french)..
with todays petrol prices i find its not worth bothering with when you've got a bike..gonna be cheaper than a car anyway, even if you ride it daily (mates car take $40/week, 1.8 corona/corolla/red cage, i'm filling $20-23 every 8 days and to-from work is 15kms)..

buy a big bike and enjoy it. :-)

    HAHAHA! see above..

ok i guess figures say a bit more than 20km/l..i've had 200kms out of a 15l tank on a long ride.
