I rode my VF500 in the snow when I lived in Chch.:spudwhat: It was actually not too bad, because (a) it was wettish snow, so not slippery, and (b) all the car driver were going slow, so I just rode up the middle in the slush. The only real problem was it was actually snowing at the time I was riding, and with my visor down, the snow stuck to it and I couldn't see well, and with it up, the inside filled up!

The only day I didn't commute to work was when there was black ice on the roads. Even the 4WD was sliding around....
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....

You sure do...... the lower is off (sitting behind it) cos the paint work needs a tidy up, I painted it about 10yrs back and it was never all that tidy.

The visor problem is usually fixed by going fast enough and turning your head to one side so the snow gets blown off

I saw that going around Puke too. And I was quite disappointed how ordinary it sounded. But there was a CBX with race pipes that sounded very nice (as did all the usual tasty Brit bikes etc.)

It sounded pretty grim as time went on... First run was the best. All 8 pots actually fired.. Screaming like a banshee, not like a 350 chev

btw. In the 70's and 80's I rode bikes to work (in ChCh) in the snow days... 1st day (in the 70's) was OK but being a smartarse i had to go in the next day too. Going down the Columbo st overbridge into town was fun.... Stopping was a non option, luckily I was upright, both feet on the deck screaming like a stuck hippo all the way down... Stupid!

Later on (in the 80's) on my $75 TS250 was FUN.... Cold... But fun...
