Cool, I dont think I would mind doing the BH as well, I know I still have things to learn. Now I heard from someone that in Rarotonga you can go for your bike license and they give you your full then when you come to NZ you can convert it straight into your full bike license. Does anyone know if this is true!!?? (just so happens Im going to Raro for a hol)

Yeah but you still have to do the full practical test. Oh, and pay some money. I havent done it (yet) but do a search on here, there are threads about it.

I'd recommend a Yamaha Virago 250 for a first bike.... Not too heavy, not to light, Kellogs just right, A nice cruising bike that holds it's value well for when you take the training wheels off and want to upgrade.........Plenty of info on KB about them aswell, and plenty of members who will vouch for me on this ???........Congrats and we look forward to seeing you out there.

Hey thanks everyone!!! Now on to the bike eh !! Got my Learners today - very weird having to go through all that and getting a blue licence for car and bike despite having had my car licence for 24 years - how weird is that!!!!

But main thing is i got my bike licence !! YAY am legit now heheh.
Hey minnie good to hear you are having fun on GN as after much deliberatoin and actually alomst thinking i should go the 2nd hand virago track have decided that best bet is to get the GN and then trade up next year to a bigger bike rather than get the bigger 250 and not trade up - if that makes sense. Well thats what i think today - tomorrow may be a different story - especially after this weekend when am going to go test a few bikes - particulary a GN and a virago heheh. Ultimately i would like a triumph so need to keep focused on that - only need a good little bike for 12 months then go up to a bigger one then aftr that a Trumphy i hope - depending on $$ of course..
