I sat on one, does that count? It was lighter than I expected given the engine size. Felt very comfortable.
It would be on my list of bikes to look seriously at, if my list had bikes with that kind of price tag.... a bit past my discomfort zone $-wise, at just about 14 large. Only negative for me is the narrow front wheel, it looks OK-ish from the side but a bit silly from the front if you ask me. Oh, and it's a belt drive, which isn't a negative as such, just a question mark as I've never ridden one so don't know what they're like hassle-wise.
Only way to tell for sure if you like it enough to pay for it would be a test ride...

Just a thought, are you talking about the Classic or the Custom?

Latest Metric Cruiser magazine has a review of the custom. In most mag shops.

rides well ,good power, mate has one, took it for a ride ,good for 2 up, nice chrome work would like to see the bike over the 1000cc , but good value for money ,think they are around $12000, the only thing that let it down the exhaust note, need to open up the baffles, nice riding position good reach to the bars
Keen on checking this bike out riding, But cant find any here, let alone a demo in Wellington to see how it feels to ride. Same goes for the Suzuki M50 I want to try out. Just aint any for me to try before i buy.

Hi strider
I have owned one of these magnificent bikes for 4 months now. Done over 6000km's and have no ill word to say of it - apart from a whine in the lower gears, which I have read Kawasaki is trying to get rid of. It is not intrusive.
True I don't have a great deal of experience of other bikes, but this bike hands out such comfort, ease of handling and great style combined with plenty of effortless get up and go that she surely would be hard to fault for anyone who is looking for an under 1000 cruiser.
At medium height and weight ( and advancing age) I really appreciate the low c. of g which makes lifting her off the side stand relatively effortless in any situation.
Judging from what I read this is a bike that appears to suit everyone regardless of height and weight.
If you have bought one and it appears you have, ENJOY.
I ride for the love of it . . . . .
Oops, sorry strider. I misread your profile. Thought you HAD bought one. Apologies.
