Agree it's not good to be on the wrong side of the road for long....but the trade off is the speed diferential between you and the cars you're overtaking. Some prat decides to overtake/turn right/swerve round a duck/ turn onto the road and you have the thinking time and braking distances associated with 150+ it's not the simple 150+ - 100 makes it 50 kmh to scrub off. If you overtake slower relative to the traffic then you can choose an 'insert' point in front of each car you pass should you need to return to your side of the road and a gentle slide in is available to by just rolling off the throttle.

problem with overtaking so many cars in one hit at speed, is ya need a lot of straight road to do it.. And if they're all going slow cos of something in front, and it's a nice long straight road, could be someone in a cage wants a go too, and stormin up the outside of them at pace, might not go down to well!

Sortov agree. Nobody warned me that kiwi drivers don't look in their mirrors (never mind turning to check their blind spot) before overtaking. My record back in Scotland was 13 cars on a GPX600.
