I can't help but be careful in the wet, as I've got way too much imagination. Despite having had no dramas in the wet, I've spun up the rear a few times, and had the front step out on me in the wet and dry (on those damned tar snakes), and that's been enough for me to take it easy. The one time riding on the open road in the wet where I got bored with taking it easy and stopped riding like a wussy, NOTHING happened anyway.

The man is right, also watch it when you have a brand new tyre on the rear as well, me is still shaking after i turned the bike 90 degrees last night in the wet with a new rear with something like 1/4 throttle

yep, imagine what a gsxr thou does in a wet corner at 2/3rd throttle around a ton. can anyone say 'rag doll'? my eyes were at tank level and my right foot dragging along the road IN THE RIGHT LANE!. not good.

Yea man my mate hooked me a deal on a old model azaro, av40 or something i don't know, all i know is it was cheap, pay some now pay some later always helps to. I havn't had much chance to scrub it in before puke but should be right.

imagine, shit the TL has got enough to get all crazy in the wet, a gixxer thou, not good indeed. I was watching MR to long last week and tried the whole foot down thing when i went too hot into a corner, kinda ran along the white centre line still hard on the brakes with a lovely holden commie coming towards me, you be lucky there be no on coming cars, shit gets nasty then. Good to see you an bike are still in one peice mate.

Nah, my bike gets ridden in wet, its all good with the 400 as i take it easy and i sometimes just gun it in a straight line in 1st gear off a set of lights to check grip, its usually perfect unless the road seal isnt even, and if its bad rain then it starts to get funky at like 11,000rpm which leaves me shit all more power so its time to change gear and realign the wheels anyway! ahhh... the pure lack of power

That`s the dangerous bit,not the rain.Todays tyres and brakes can handle rain easily if you take things easily.Keep your riding smooth and keep your eyes open and you`ll be fine.biggest cause of bike accidents in the U.K. is "lack of caution"...................on dry,sunny days.Easier for us in Britain i suppose,we get a lot more experience of wet roads so it`s maybe not such a big deal.Time to be especially careful is when it rains after a spell of dry weather,all the dropped oil and crap forms a slick road surface,bit of a downpour cleans things up nicely.

Bah, at 210km/h down the...errr...privately owned closed road...I was able to beat the hail and merely got stuck riding in heavy rain...

That wet stuff gets a bit hairy when the slightly balding patch of my front tyre got over, think V-Twin Raver had that issue as well...

A word of warning for you,those old av40's are bloody SLIPPERY in the wet!!I had a couple on the gixx a while back and had a few interesting moments the new avon's I'm running now though are as good as those were bad (wet)
The old 40's are sweet as in the dry though
