Are the Kennedy's gun shy?.....![]()
Yes. Probably.
welcome,
it would be sweet IMHO
Hell no, an rg took me at my biggest form ( i was training for downhill mountain biking) to 200+kph many a time.
It was a little uncomfortable for my 6ft2 80kg mountainbiking body, but shit loads of fun.
But if your fear is too little torque you could all ways get a fxr150![]()

You are around the same weight/size as me. I rode my misses RGV150 (bit less power) for a little bit...all I can say is for the love of god...don't do it!!!!!
Made me feel like a spinning top...about to fall over after every gust/courner/anything else....
i wouldnt , im trading up to something bigger as i find the RG uncomfortable.
But in saying that it should pull you along easily enough once you get it up in the revs.
not really - i had it wacking out a fair ammount when i was finished with it. 210 was the best i got on it though - but that was pretty good for the little 38bhp 165cc motor.
The whole thing shat the bed at 24,000k's - oil pump failed at 11,000 rpm while i was trying to get it airborne on old tauranga rd.....all at 170kph.

the rgv is about 20hp and the rg is 35hp its a large difference.
the bike may be a bit small for you, have a sit on one and find out. As far as hauling you around it will do fine, I used to take pillions on mine and i was 85kg and had pillions around similar weight and it wasn't a problem.

I was looking at the RG because i want a bike but a 250 seems out of my price range which is about 2000ish.
Nah you'll be alright.
Just carry a crowbar with you everywhere you go. It will be very useful to;
a) Crack smart arses over the head when they give you shit for riding such a tiny bike.
b) lever the damn out of your arse crack when you stop and want to park it!
They shall not grow old as we that are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the evening,
we will remember them
