One bad decision by an individual cannot be righted by an equally bad decision by the Police.
Setting up spikes may increase the risk of death/injury and frankly your comment about 'Cedric' crashing goes along way to confirm the general public's opinion that the Police [or members within it] are callous, uncaring bunch of fuckin' wankers.

So we just let Cedric tear all over the town risking other innocents intil common sense takes over and he stops?

Or just stop chasing him and let him go off scot-free with his new "acquasition" to later on do another runner or street-race or whatever his low-impact mind thinks of?

Nup, in my book the Cedrics of the world deserve all they get and if it's a fire-engine as a bonnet emblem I guess he made the wrong choice and can't run/talk his way out of it this time, bad luck.

Nope I'd say Cedric was the uncaring fuckin'wanker. The Police would be the ones trying to stop him before he kills innocent people.

Seems the police have limitless resources to chase little Cedric in the name of public safety.

Even if they have to chase him until he injures himself (so what), or worse me and my family.

Yet, once Cedric abandons the car we can't find a single police officer interested in attending the crime scene, taking good fingerprints and other evidence, and actually using the brain instead of the right foot to end crime.

So, please forgive us dumb taxpayers if we have got it wrong, but on the face of it there are never enough police officers to attend burglaries or investigate stolen cars, yet there are always enough police officers for a ye-ha pursuit.

And we should hassle the shit out the right people to resolve that.

The Officers in question are not the right people though -they follow the rules and policies - they don't make 'em.

Those in power need to be contacted.
