    Yamaha Diversion?

Anyone heard of one of these? Came across it on Trademe. A dealers got it. Its a '91 400cc
Seems pretty cheap for the price, only 1500k's. Did a search on google and all i can find is stuff on a XJ900. Wonder if it is similar or what?
Anyone know anything about these things?
Looks like a nice bike in the picture and the XJ900 got a good write up at least. I'm looking around for a beginers bike and the 400cc capacity will likely not be a problem as i can get an exemption cos i'm a big fat bastard.
Any info/links on a yamaha diversion 400 would be gratefully recieved

    Cheers

    Um, err?????

An exemption, from the cc restriction? For being a fat bastard?
Well, I'm a relatively "fat bastard" and I had to sit on a 250cc till I got my full licence, so don't hold your breath!

You can get an exemption from KFC, Macca's and Burger King Heaven knows I should get one!

If you try a Triumph 600 TT (as I think you were planning), and then a Diversion 400, I believe you will be somewhat underwhelmed by the 400.
If a man is alone in the woods and there isn't a woke Hollywood around to call him racist, is he still white?

It looks like a two cylinder slow bike with not good brakes. i.e. a 400 version of a gn250 (with fairings)

Well, i'm a tall and fat bastard. Thus i can supposedly get an exemption from the 250cc limit thing.
I have been reliably informed i should be able to get this exemption. I have a name and number of a guy who went thru the process who is a tall and fat, i wont call him a bastard cos i dont know him yet and might need his help...
I think its tallness as well as fatness thats taken into consideration (being a bastard is optional i guess but maybe it helps)

Can you quote the relevant transport or other regs?

I think you have me mixed up with someone else Jim2... i never heard of a Triumph 600 TT nor planed on trying one, but from those comments i guess i should, but theyre probably way out of my price range??. The Diversion grabbed my attention because it seemed so cheap. You see, not only am i a tall fat bastard i am also a poor bastard.

175cm, 100kg. With the help of the local Dunkin Donuts, could probably add an extra (temporary) 10-20 in short order a la Raging Bull if it would get me a license exemption
