Grrrrr - ''Helpfull'' neighbours.

Last night as I came home at dusk,reversing the Pajero up the drive the kids next door followed me up pushing an LT50.....''Doesn't go,can you help us?'' So I have a look in the dark even before I step inside.I pull the plug and find it wet with no spark....just to make sure I told one of the boys to ''hold that'' while I pulled the cord.''What should I feel?''......don't worry,you'd know.So I tell them to trace the killswitch and make sure all the connections are good.

Coming home today I see them next door still mucking around with it,so ask how they are getting on with it.....''It's the coil,so we replaced it and it still has no spark.'' So I get them to strip the tank off and look for the CDI and stuff.I find something with a wire on the rear frame and ask what that is - ''Oh,it's got a rubber plug with a string attached''.Oh boy....the parent controlled dead man switch.They plug it back in and hey,we have spark! We get it running and I set the idle,as someone has been twiddling screws.Off they go with big grins on their faces thrashing to death a bike far too small for them....14,15 year olds.

So I walk inside and tell my wife I got their bike going - ''Oh,they were over today asking if you wanted to buy it off them for $120 if they couldn't get it going''

Aaagh! Shot myself in the foot there.

Bet it took their Mom HOURS to find a way to ensure that bike wouldn't start and then you went and fixed it for them.....lol (it was most likely her idea to sell it to you also).
