    Tell me what ya think!!

    Hey all,

Im still looking for a bike and I cam across these two beasts. I love the way they look and Ive been told they handle well. Also they are in my price range with out needing to get finance...which I can do if I have to.

First one has very high KM's, dont know of any engine work done...was do these engines go like?

Second one was used twice as a track bike, needs road gear fitted back on (supplied) and re-vinning. Is it worth what they are asking.

If all else fails I might have to finance a bike...2000 R6 or ZXR636 or something...I need to get something with room (im 6"3) and has got decent power for rides and track days. It will be used every day as well as the wife dominates the car!

Umm after owning a CBR400rr I got tired of its lack of power after around a week but my main need for it is transport to work so the weekend rides and track days come second. Im more suited to a 600cc...but I thought I might as well have alook at some 400ccs..cant hurt.

both good bikes imho have owned one but i m 5'10 and at your height i would suggest a good long test ride as you may feel a bit cramped for space a 6oo would probably be a better chioce imho

You read my mind RCTL, the CBR400rr wasnt to bad...but after riding for around 1 hour I would get a sore lower back. Ive ridden my dads 2004 Yamaha XJR1300 and it feels spot on. I love the way it feels right and has good power in the right rev range. However i dont want something this big..I might have to go down the 600 or 750cc road. GSXR750 have always been one of my fav's..Or even a Suzuki SV600..hmmm

    Help me guys ahahhahaha

High kms arnt always a bad thing, as long as its been looked after and serviced.
Re-vinning can become a big problem though. Make shure you get a mechanic to have a GOOD look over it beofre you buy, if theres a defect it could cost more to fix than to buy another bike.

A friend in ChCh had one. He would be 6ft & loved it! I had a very enjoyable blat on it too. Found it to be very responsive, peppy & easy to throw around!

Unfortunately it got taken out by a dickhead tintop not giving way at a roundabout...

Probably better to go for the first one as opposed to the race one.......reason being the race bike needs extra funds to get it road legal, and how come it was only raced for two days ? where did the extra frame come from ? Have you tried the KB Classifirds ?
