The police along with the government lost my respect years ago, they are cumbersome archaic institutions, self serving and prehistoric in outlook. By any commercial measurement their collective performance would be totally unacceptable, they lie, they do not listen to those that know better, law enforcement is often a flimsy excuse for cash collection. And worst of all closed minds such as your own RT527 go along with the sheep and beer swilling mentality that has grown up in N.Z. and perpetuate the collective stupidity in the erroneous belief the pigs and government are performing well. They are not and have recently publicly admitted so.
Oh thank God you have arrived. The Messiah!!! You bold speak of which none of who can reply!!! You are the panacea to all societal woes!!! You of such alightenment. Such insight having no apathy of which you speak!! Lead us my lord, show us the way lest you become one of the mediocre ones of which you reffer to which such distain.

Affect change for you after all are IT and a manager!!(cool......)

    And SPB?
Issuing tickets for speeding is 'revenue gathering'? - well hope you pay my share too - I've not paid anything towards THAT tax for over 20 years...

But just like the rape victims the police are not interested in public complaints. There are most definitely two sets of rules at work here scummy.
    Yup.
One for those that get caught.

And one for those that don't.

Your wheelying mate sounds like the later.

    You sound like the first.

    Bad luck.

And that's the way I look at it - ya can't expect all cops to live like saints 100% of the time. (We aren't paid THAT much!)

And I don't expect YOU to either - but when you ARE caught just shrug your shoulders and get on with life. (That's what I would do)

Yep, same standards for me back then... and still an unblemished record... Unlike those other 3...

Can understand why you would feel that way under those circumstances...Should have complained... along with all the other neighbours... that'll learn him...

The Government and general public demand I pull my socks up? What socks? I wear chandals... I must have missed that front page headliner...

Since there seems to be an aversion to reading by the KB coppers I have [very generously] taken the time to quote directly from Beazleys report. This is an extract from the commissioners overview.

"It is very clear to me that in order to maintain public trust and credibility police officers need to adhere to high standards of ethical behaviour, both on and off duty".

    Deal with it.
I guess like most people in all walks of life this should be a basic human desire (I can see I will get picked up on that word but what the 'eck) and I guess the majority of people, cops, nurses, office workers etc try and a few fail.

What the Commissioner says is true, however, remember that cop who had been drinking and took a call to an accident scene and saved the accident victims life...............based on the Commissioners view he should have stayed at home but he didn't, he did the ethical thing and saved someone's life and still got rep'd for it by all insundry.

You need to stop giving the minority stick and look at the while picture. If the majority of cops were bad then fair call but they are not and SD is probably just giving it back cause he sounds like a good cop and person to me.

It means no drinking even when off duty. And full political correctness at all times. You must embrace diversity. Foster youf. And always say "Sir" very respectfully. Expecially to 16 year old ricers. Will we see a new benevolent, teetotal Scumdog ? I doubt it.
