Where are the Custom Trailer Builders

I have been looking for a cool custom transporter for the bike for a few months. There are plenty of motorcycle trailers for sale, most designed for trail bikes. I want a single bike trailer that is designed for transporting the pride and joy. Not an agricultural plant item that is used for taking rubbish to the tip.

In the USA there is a large choice (put motorcycle trailer in google) of not just a NZ style of trailer but custom motorcycle transporters. Here is a link to an example of a basic mc trailer and a link to sites with a few manufacturers http://www.eaglelinemotorsports.com/links.php
    and http://www.webbikeworld.com/motorcycle-trailer/.

I am looking for a trailer that is: just big enough for one bike, lightweight, torsion axle, low deck for easy loading (one person must be able to load and secure a bike), looks farking nice, tows like a dream, and doesn't cost a fortune. I doubt if the mass manufacturers of trailers would understand the market for such a product. So I am not going to bother calling them.

Can anyone provide a recommendation of a good engineer that can combine engineering structural design with artistic flair to build a cool transporter at a reasonable price?

Someone in China? New trailers sold in NZ are now made in China - get hold of the importer, tell him what you want and see what comes back. They make a shit load of trailers for world markets.....I bet someone has asked them the same question as you.....

I deal with these guys - www.freewaytrailers.co.nz - they will build exactly what you want.
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

Mate that looks like a handy piece of kit. Do you have the bike trailer or just a rail for the bike?

For the record Qkkid was in my bed, not the other way round

We got our trailer from Pinto trailers on Barry's Point Road, Auckland (www.pintotrailers.co.nz). Ours isn't a custom one but they do advise you to contact them if there's something you want that they don't have.

They were pretty good when we dealt with them.

Wasn't there a thread a little while ago with someone asking who wants trailers designed?

I had an enclosed single bike trailer, that was built by a crown in Christcurch
    www.briford.co.nz
It was like a mini horse float, with a fold down tailgate which doubled as a ramp, towed nice,I made some tie down points inside, the only thing I would change with it would be to have a front access door
Was based on a standard eight by four trailer
I think they have a dealer in Parramatta/Mana area

I did a search on the site and didn't find anything; not to say there isn't a post or two. There is so much stuff on this site it is easy to miss.
