    Race Report:
GNCC Series, Rnd 13, Crawfordsville, IndianaTeam:

    Honda CRF 450X

The final race of the season was a good one. The soil at Crawfordsville is the best of the series and with some rain late in the week the dirt was awesome.
I got my best start of the year and pulled out a hole shot. I could hardly believe it!! I've been working really hard on my starts and have developed a better system.

I lead for a little while but Charlie Mullins was pushing hard and I decided to let him lead and show me the track. I still got massive arm pump though and for the first couple of laps I couldn't ride full speed and dropped to 5th. The track was nice and rough with some really cool hill climbs. After the fuel stop my arms came right and I was able to push hard again, moving up to 3rd.

Finishing in 3rd at the race moved me up in the final points to 6th overall. It has been a good year with a real improvement in my speed, at these tough demanding 3 hour events. A big thanks to Katherine and my mechanic Morrie for all their help this year.

Also thanks to Scott for all his efforts this year and providing all the necessary ingredients for a successful team. Thanks to all my sponsors and a huge thank you to all the people who cheered me on at the races.

    Thanks guys.

Kiwi Paul Whibley gets assistance from and rides for five-time GNCC Champion Scott Summers.

Will we see him on a BMW in 2008?

    Whibs on Suzuki:

"We are very proud to announce the signing of Paul Whibley to the team. Paul has proven himself a true four-stroke specialist by winning an overall and several podiums in '07. Paul will be instrumental in the development of our new RM-Z450 for Off-Road racing
