I finally finished the R1. It's about 3 years after I started, but there were big gaps where I didn't do any work on it at all, and when I did work on it I only did a little bit at a time.

The final assembly didn't go all that well, the swingarm was about 3mm too wide for the frame, the fairing was pretty awkward to put on and I had to unglue a few bits to get them in the right place.

I like it, it's quite unique. Dunno if I'll build another one any time soon though.

Nice bike, but those tyres look a little suspect to me. Major triangulation; too many track days? Looks like a few too many burnouts too.



That is some serious patience -- I'm envious! Very cool.
