"The road to Hell is really grippy with loads of run off & some wicked lefthanders"
I would love to have a ride around the IOM![]()
RIP Phil (Pinky) SHINE ON YOU CRAZY DIAMOND.
Did you notice how stiff the suspension was? Look at when he must be heavily braking ... the front hardly dives at all. He's just so faast. I imaging some of the other guys were right on their 'limits' (they're bikers after all) and he just made them look stopped. I counted two wheelies and one oops over in the white stuf on the right hand edge of a curve.
Brett
Must be disconcerting, riding round a road like that, thinking to yourself that your not doing to bad, when some one passes you coming out of a corner, midwheelie.![]()
Its also a bloody shame the man is no longer with us!!!!!

Yeah, I remember reading a PB mag article on him, struggling racer who was a builder with lots of promise on the track, wasn't a small bloke either. The TT took another great rider from us. Don't get me wrong, I love the race for what it is and all the racers who ride there would know the risks.
Dave was a top bloke and bloody down to earth man with an exellent sense o humour
Heres a vid onboard with Dave Jeffries
Shaun, is that Dave talking us thru it? EDIT: im pretty sure it is.....

love the way he's so calmly describing the circuit as if directions to the corner shop
"the bike gets a little unsettled here" ***bike is near lock to lock at 160 odd mph*** wicked stuff
