Yup Steam, looks like you just need to harden the fuck up.

120km/hr isn't so bad. At least it won't be snowing.

    Good luck tomorrow.

If you pass the test in those conditions, you bloody well deserve your licence.
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

What are you like at tacking? Good luck with the test tomorrow.

If it's really as bad as all that, they ought to give you the licence just for having the cajones to show up.

Anyways, let us know how you get on.

    Good luck~

Good luck with that matey - if it's too bad you never know, they might cut you some slack. However, you've still got to get to and from the testing station...(I'm not helping, am I?!)

Seriously - take care out there. If it's REALLY bad, it might be better taking the hit and paying a second time around. Rather be safe than in a pickle.

(I know, what a wuss, harden up and all that.....)

Tacking! Oh tacking's difficult, you have to get the lubbers lined up to haul the braces, put the jib about, brail the mainsail, move the mainmast abaft the beam and hope you don't end up in irons.

Thanks for your good wishes everyone, I needed the encouragement. I'll report back tomorrow on how it went.
But I had better pass, I've just bought a 400 that I have to ride back from Christchurch to Wellington in the weekend!

    Ha - lmao
I wish you all the best man, it might work in your favour; the testers on a bike too right. If its pelting down with rain how much is he going to see anyway. They'll probably sort out a shorter route for the day.
When I sat my test there was no limits on bikes that I remember (mind you most modern 250's go as well as my ol 650) the cop stood beside the road and watched me ride 200 metres down the road, turn around with out putting my foot down and come back!!

You'll be right Steam. Don't worry about it. You won't be the only one out there tomorrow.

Today was a timely reminder of what we have in store. We have had it real good lately!

    Good luck, Steam!

Sure you'll be great - looks like you might get in before the wind and rain arrives. I've just had a very calm ride into work and am now admiring the beautiful sunrise I can see from my office window.

Looks like the morning might not be as bad as you feared.

All the best - I'm getting my bling-allocating button warmed up!

Yeah, it looks good. They are saying late morning for the hit, so 10am may be just before the madness arrives. Thanks!

Good luck mate! Don't worry about it at all - you'll be fine. Just like taking a normal relaxed cruise, except someone's telling you where to go and making weird requests of you! Just remember - they'll ask you to point out potential hazards. Identify everything, including the instructor in the car behind you, cats, dogs, pedestrians, and other traffic. Still, at that time of the morning on a Wednesday it shouldn't be too busy. Look forward to your report in the next few hours

Ah good - well, should make for an "interesting" ride home for all of us....

    All the very best!
