Have just arrived in Rangiora for a few days, and have found out a good pillion friend of mine has been unable to borrow any gear. A helmet is the only compulsory item... Thanks to Sniper and SpeedyGirl for offers of helmets! Decided that now my DR250 is now (off)roadworthy (thanks to warewolf) I could justify the purchase of an offroad helmet and made do with that for the day. Did the Sumner/Lyttelton/Akaroa loop and spent the whole day regretting the fact I could not find my earplugs this morning. I am now totally deaf. What's that you say? I am sorry, can you repeat that? Znnnnnnnnnnnng........
