Crashes That You Walked Away From.

    Ok, kiddies.

    Share story time.

My last crash was 2 years ago on the Morning of ANZAC day. First corner as you go onto the Bethals Beach RD turn off. I was doing 125kms into a 25kms corner. (Some wowser removed the sign) and I paniced and locked the rear wheel up and hit a metal and dirt gutter and highsided the bike over a almost vertical bank ( it went a long way down). I flipped over the front of the bike landing on my feet in the bushes holding onto a branch so I wouldn't fall down the bank and the bike landed about 5m away from me.

The bike was sweet, just a few tassles of foliage. And I strained my back pulling the bike out. My mate who was following me lowsided his bike and fuct it. He dropped it watching me attempting to be a stunt gurl.
The world will look up and shout "Save Us!", and I'll whisper "no"

LOL WAY too many to list... Worst one was when I was 16 or 17, on ZXR 400, first ever road blast with some fast guys.

Had something to prove since my ego was boosted by some compliments. Following a GSXR1000 through the twisties, I said "fuk it, if he can do it, so can I". Followed him through the corners and then continued following him into a ditch when he went in too hot and crashed infront of me.

I was already a knee out kinda rider then but only problem was I had jeans on. Ended up digging a hole on the centre of my knee and cracked the knee cap. Doc told me, I was close to tearing the ligaments but some how I didn't.

I Don't go out riding with out wearing protection anymore.

Edit: LOL, I didn't walk away from that actually so maybe it's a bad example but that's my worst one so far anyway...

I lowsided at a roundabout afterschool a couple of months ago with shorts on. I got up and sat on the curb for a while before parking my bike at a friends around the corner and getting a lift home. Not so nice scar on my knee now, it's still all discoloured after all these months.

Well Its arguable -clearly the crash that buggered my shoulder was the worst
but as far as ego destroying the worst has to be crashing a c90 scooter
YEA YEA LAUGH AWAY - I was being towed home so I could get the stupid thing going for my then girlfreind. The guy driving the tow car had the bright idea to scare the shit outa ol frosty
he put his foot down on the main road of glen eden.
Li secret with these modern towropes--theyre like bloody rubber bands.
he went vroom --towrope went sproing and the bike shot forwards at a decent rate of knots.--I let go of the towrope but it stayed in place long enough to tug the bike sideways and we ended up in a messy heap on the wrong side of the road.
For the record -that bitumix stuff roads are made of--it aint smooth --and it takes months for it all to rise to the surface of ya skin when its propperly driven in
To see a life newly created. To watch it grow and prosper. Isn't that the greatest gift a human being can be given?

*TOUCHING WOOD** I haven't had a crash on the road .. yet ... But I've had a couple of great ones on the track.

1st one was at Pukekohe trying to go around the outside of a rider on the "left right" after jenian homes sweeper.... Straight off the track and into the tyres - Ouchy

2nd one was at Manfield, cocked up a corner and ended up doing some cross country for aaaaaaaaages before I gave up and grabbed some front brake.
    Not even with yours!!!

Oh yeah, I've fallen off, said some naughty words and climbed back on thrice in the last couple of years. Nothing over 70kph or otherwise worth mentioning.

Bethells is a great road, but you don't want to go too fast when you don't have it memorised! Haven't ridden down there for a while, but I can't think of many corners that'd be doable over 100kph. And I probably wouldn't even go *that* fast. I just can't get into the spirit of going hard-out around something I can't see the other side of. Visions of broken-down panel vans and unexpected cowpats abound.

Hey! I never said I was right. According to my opinion, lane splitting at high speeds is more dangerous than the blasting the twisties crap but what do I know...

Actually if I said that stuff to you again, I'd be a hypocrite... Maybe you are a bad influence on me LOL
