The drop in dude gets pulled off the back of the 750 cause his foots draggin on the road and the rider does a preety impressive job of recovering but as the front wheel hits the grass he lets her go. I have no memory of braking or changin gear or anything. The 750 has lost indicators and fairing damage and same also for the 1100, they are both riden home. As we're standing there going "wow", "holy shit" etc the truck which the truck driver has parked to come and see if my mates are alright, starts to roll back. Fortunately the driver has left his 3 year old in the cab and the screaming alerts him and us that the truck is going over the hill soon, our bikes will all be run over and his child doesnt want to go over either. Luckly he jumps into the cab in time to prevent a bad day getting worse.
Probably one of the freakest rides Ive been on and more stuff happend that day as well. Oh and injuries, the guy on the 1100 had a swollen knee. Hes racing in aussie last I heard.
The world will look up and shout "Save Us!", and I'll whisper "no"

Sorest crash was the one a couple of days ago on the CT110, popped the wheel, was holding it..... bike lent slightly, so i go to land it...... did the dumb fuck thing of landing crossed up, resulting in a mean tank slapper which threw me off the bike....... bit of a grazed knee, BUT NO DAMAGE TOO DRAGGIN JEANS OR BIKE!!!!! (weird)

Just waiting for my MAJOR crash...

    Which one to choose???

I have had about 5 crashes in total. Have walked(sometimes hobbled) away from all of them. All while on corners. I just love to lean! Sometimes i just lean too far, fairing or peg hit the ground and weight comes off the front wheel and bang. I lean off the bike as much as i can when going hard but on the road there is very little room for any mistakes.
Every crash I have been wearing saftey gear! And will stand by it always!
Wear your gear or be hurt!

My worst was 70kph into an oncoming car turning right into a sidestreet. I had no time to brake and flew over the roof of the car and rolled/landed by near the kerb. I crawled away from it and was limping withen a few days. The main injury was to my knees with alot of swelling and a few stitches.

Well me latest off has been well covered here on kiwibiker, and the inevitable expensive fixup job here:

I've had three reasonably big offs in my riding life, the latest on the welly motorway, a highside on ice on the old Lower Hutt roundabout, and a bit of a nasty one in Taita when a drunk driver going the wrong way down the road caused me to hit a traffic island and a post avoiding him.

All of them I walked away from. The latest I gave myself a bit of a tear in the ankle ligament, and a sore leg where my 220kg bike landed on it, nothing really.

The superman into the post caused me a bad concussion and migranes and photophobia for about 18 months after.

The highside was just bruising and soreness for a week after...

And, like everyone else, every time I go on a dirt bike I fall off heaps too...
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

Does this mean you don't consider the mighty CT110 a real bike?

Does NZ post ever dock your pay for the hijinks/damage you get up to? Or do all posties do this to their bikes?

A friend of mine (ex motorcycle postie) informs me that whenever he to take someone else's bike out that it seemed to experience severe valve float...

YEA YEA LAUGH AWAY - I was being towed home so I could get the stupid thing going for my then girlfreind. The guy driving the tow car had the bright idea to scare the shit outa ol frosty
he put his foot down on the main road of glen eden.
Li secret with these modern towropes--theyre like bloody rubber bands.
he went vroom --towrope went sproing and the bike shot forwards at a decent rate of knots.--I let go of the towrope but it stayed in place long enough to tug the bike sideways and we ended up in a messy heap on the wrong side of the road.
For the record -that bitumix stuff roads are made of--it aint smooth --and it takes months for it all to rise to the surface of ya skin when its propperly driven in

    Something similar here....
But being towed by a C90 whilst on rollerblades...

You know enough by now MR! I agree with you on this point, in fact lane-splitting in general scares me far more than thrashing it through the twisties - at least through the twisties I know that I have the majority of control in the situation.

My last crash was 2 years ago on the Morning of ANZAC day. First corner as you go onto the Bethals Beach RD turn off. I was doing 125kms into a 25kms corner...
Hi there NC30, how long have you been riding 4? It sounds to me like you like to ride fast? In a prevous thread you said you were travelling at 210kmph on your NC30 - r u sure about that on your 400cc? Coming off in a road accident going 125kmph and walking away is fairly miraculous indeed - I say count your blessings.

I've had one bin and that was several months ago when I threw my CBR into an open road ditch going around a 25km corner...from that off I learned to slow down more on corners, especially those which are completely foreighn to me!

As outrageous as it sounds, it's possible.

Honda quoted 230km/h top speed for the unrestricted version of the NC30.
