But thanks anyways, english is my 1st language, but I was never taught it.
It's the French spelling I believe. And kilometers is wrong here, the same as color is. But it's your letter.

Just state the facts, plead guilty and ask for the court to go easy on you. KISS principle applies. (keep it simple stupid)

    Eg:
In regard to Infringement notice 123123123
Charge: exceeding speed limit of 100kmh.
I am writing to plead guilty to the charge of exceeding the speed limit of 100 kilometers per hour on the date.
I have no suitable excuse or reason for my actions and accept that I was completely in the wrong.
In deciding on my punishment I would greatly appreciate the court considering the following points.
    1. The officer who issued the ticket acknowledged that I was not presenting any danger to anyone other than myself.
    2. I have already lost my licence for the mandatory 28 days.
    3. The road conditions were dry and clear, traffic was very light.
    4. I have cooperated at all times with the police.
    5. I have learned my lesson and will at all times in future ride to the legal limits and conditions.

    Thanking you in advance
    Yours sincerely
    Dickheadonabike.

Or something like that, good luck anyway

Yeah, I'd definitely go with that. Well done Mack.

I would also like the courts to take into consideration that I have already lost my license for the mandatory 28 days, a punishment that is fair and a very good reminder to be careful on the roads. I would like the courts to take into consideration of the fact that the 50 demerits I am likely to get with added punishment of the fine will be more than enough reminder to be alert and aware of my speed and conditions of those around me.

I would also like the courts to take into consideration the conditions at the time of the infringement, It was late at night the road was very empty and my speed had just creped up, Constable Edit determined that my riding was not putting anyone other than myself at a great risk and did not charge me with a more serious charge of dangerous driving or dangerous speed. He was very fair and just in his judgment of this case.

I also want this issue to go through the court system as quickly and hassle- free as possible as I’m sure there are a lot more urgent matters at hand that a speeding infringement.
I would like the courts to understand that I have realized that my actions were unacceptable and I will slow down as life is not a race.

I would like to thank the courts for dealing with this carefully and justfully.

    Yours faithfully,

I, too, would send something less flowery ...
...... but if you are set on sending the letter as originally written then a new paragraph after you have finished talking about the demerit points and are starting to describe the conditions would make the letter more readable - also, it is 'crept' and 'justly' by the way - and 'license' should be 'licence' as it's a noun, not a verb. 'courts' should be 'Court, 'of' is superfluous and should be removed, you need an 'and' after 'unacceptable'. There needs to be a hyphen between 'hassle' and 'free' ....... oh, and i'd take out the bits i've highlighted in orange as, to me, they make the offence sound broader/more dangerous than it actually was ....

sorry i DO tend to go on a bit ...... good luck with it

    Thats the general idea einstein.

Thanks for your help everyone, I've never written a formal letter before. (english at school nowdays you just watch movies and then write about what happend, and you can't get marked down more than 1 mark for spelling )

Also I've looked all over the summons and I can't find and infringement number? the is a "CRN 00000000000" number could that be it? There are heaps of other random numbers all over the top but with nothing to suggest what they mean for eg "e979" "drg304" etc
Then I could get a Kb Tshirt, move to Timaru and become a full time crossdressing faggot

crn is the offence number - Court Record Number. that is the number you quote in correspondence to the court

How much does it cost for a Hack lawyer these days to appear on your behalf or do you have to turn up in person?

I'd go with Macktheknife's version, it saves you having to go through all the grammar misery. They probably can't be arsed reading it all anyway.

    Good luck!

Btw, what's the difference between an empty and a very empty road?

I have a feeling you will get a letter back saying:
    Dear Sir/Madam

In Reference to offense No. XXXXXXX, we are unable to process you any futher until this matter must go to Court.

    Regards

If your lucky they might cross out the Madam part, but don't expect an actual signature on the bottom.

Aaah, nice one guys. Entertainment galore reading this thread. Sometimes I browse through KB and think: What a load of crap I've wasted the last hour reading. This thread falls into that category, however, it's made me laugh, so it hasn't been completely pointless.

If I was Hitcher, I'd probably have come up with some succinct and painfully smart barb concerning the "grammar" that was in that letter. Alas, I am not. So I will refrain from commenting on the 17 remaining grammatical 'gems' contained in the letter.

    C'mon Hitcher, do your stuff.

Don't know if this is too late but I would certainly go with macktheknife's version. Succinct, no crap and likely to get a far better response. Shows a bit more education and intellect than the original.

good luck bro, i got $780 and probably some demerits (will have to check) no extra time... that was for 59kmh over, but i knew what i was doing etc, and didnt mention anything about it just creeping up... FFS what speeed were you doing, its not like it was 115 or 120 if i remember correctly. And stop saying 'i would like the court to take into consideration', say it once and then add also, furthermore,... etc

Well, it's not bad but I think 'cos' should be spelt (spelled) 'coz' for a start. If you're going to abuse someone the spelling and grammar should be spot on. I consider this to be a sport and while I'm not the greatest I do have my moments.

    OK, I concur.

But I've had more sport shooting the rats at the dump - and THEY never quibled over my spelling.
