    Do nothing.

As far as I can see, the only thing he did that endangered innocent people was a bit of speeding.

Everything else involved consenting adults so its none of your business.

hes making bikers as a whole look bad. i will get involved [and have] because he needs to be taken off the road.
kids here dont wear helmets on push bikes as it is, without this "big awesome biker" making it worse.
dunno about else where in this country, but bikes are big news here. i know mine gets a lot of attention. we dont need tossers like this guy glorifying breaking the law in a 100 different ways.

tonight, at work, it got worse. we get quite a few bikes going by, and most of them whip around the corner, and then gun it up the long straight. anyway, he goes flying by tonight with a pillion...mr pillion had no helmet! [and nearly assed off the back with the sudden acceleration]
time goes by, and eventually, mr blue bike comes in for gas. i was annoyed with the pillion having no lid, and want to report him, so when the bike itself comes in, i start looking shrewdly for the license details. hmmmmm... its not on the back. its not on the left side. not on the right. ok... rego and warrent? nada there as well!
as above, the bike is home painted, and has no make, model or cc rating anywhere on the body.

how the hell do i report a bike with no identification?? i want this guy off the road, because, quite frankly, with his actions, hell be turning a few cagers against bikes pretty quick!

im surprised he hasnt been nabbed yet. hes not exactly hard to miss, and cops are pretty plentiful here.
No WOF... No Rego... No helmet...

    Urrr... why not??

Have you ever tried to ignite petrol vapors with your cell phone?
The easiest way is to set fire to the phone and chuck it in your tank.

Another way, and more probably the most common way your phone will cause your tank to go boom is by going to get it from inside the car, building up a static charge and discharging when you touch the nozzle.
    Motorbike only search

cos the signs on the pillar say so. lol. im not willing to risk it. ive seen a guy in the middle of my forecourt light a cigarette [was inside, so couldnt stop him] nothing exploded, but the signs also say no smoking.

id rather die on my bike than through someones stupidity causing an explosion.

I think that like lots of kiwis you are genuinely concerned about other people and you are to be commended for that. Its actually a very kiwi thing, for some reason we just can't help but stick our (caring) nose in other peoples business.

But it IS other peoples business.

Strangely enough, you admit speeding. Thats breaking the law, but not only that, when you speed, you endanger not only yourself, but innocent people as well - the child who runs in front of you, the old lady with the walking frame who cant here you coming, or the pedestrian who steps on a crossing thinking you are at the legal speed limit.

Yet you seem horrified at the though that someone might ride without a helmet. Hmm yet that only endangers themselves.

I can't work that one out.

You see that episode of mythbusters ? not that they are the be all and end all but try as they might they just couldn't get a cellphone to ignite petrol vapor.

yes, i admit to speeding. but not in spots where theres likely to be any kids or old biddies walking out. [heading into 80/100k zones] and i dont speed past schools, or near schools, crossings, intersections etc. this guy ive only ever seen doing over 50k...pretty sure he was doing 70 the first time i saw him on saturday. had it been friday, there would have been kids everywhere. even on weekends, theres kids, cos there are a lot in the neighbourhood. 45k MAX past schools, and i almost always get tailgated.

the way darwin works, the dipstick with no helmet is likely to also injure someone else when he wrecks. and as noted, its the actions of idiots [lane splitting at a much higher speed, knocking off wing mirrors etc] that bite every other one of us in the ass. i have no desire to have shitty people lumping me in the same pile.

The wof + rego could be he couldnt afford one, not having a wof + rego doesnt indicate either the road worthiness of the vehical or the intelligence of the owner. Nor does it increase the likelyness of an acident. Same goes for the helmet, wasnt that long ago when it was normal to not wear a helmet.

Sorry but it sounds like you need to get a life.

p.s i'd still report him if I thought it was a stolen bike, which it could be OR it could be ghost rider on a holiday.

bike could well be stolen, considering its badly repainted. and what about no license plate? if he cant afford the warrent and rego, he shouldnt have a bike. and he sure as hell shouldnt be taking pillions. specially with no helmet. it may have been fine 20 years ago to not wear one, but the traffic numbers has increased 10-fold.

what if these boys were your son and a friend? would you be so carefree about it then? these two may be idiots...still dont mean they should die. they are tempting fate.
