And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

To a half awake car driver your bike looks, in a rear view mirror, just like a cop bike. Naturally they move over. I notice the GS1100GK, in spite of it being a dark browny purple colour. has the same effect. Dunno what thought processes (if any) the cage drivers use (thinks "mufti bike cop? move over!")
    but who cares.
it's not a bad thing till you throw a KLR into the mix.
those cheap ass bitches can do anything with ductape.

Thats a shaft drive 4 with like a goldwing type fairing and weighs in at about 450kg wet.
With the wind behind it on a good day It JUST manages 165km/h
It lost its exhaust collector box ages ago. The tyres are from WW2 but I bought it pretty cheap and it was a great bike to keep me riding inside the range of sanity.
It 3/4 doesn't belong to me so Im avoiding riding it But on a day like today --what can I say.
It doesn't look half as bad as you make it sound frosty, I went and checked out the reviews on them on the net and they seem to have a pretty good reputation. Mind you a site dedicated to them would say that wouldn't it!, just got back from my little jaunt, got the milk etc, realised I'd left the back door open and the shed door too! Must have been too keen to get out eh!

Yea hey dont get me wrong I've had two of them as well as a number of XJ900's, For a tourer they do go round corners rather well.
They seem to suit a smooth well thought out aproach to corners -Very noticable when I rode unknown roads The whale felt horrible but on a road I know well it's very smooth.
That said The whale was -well worn out. Its a 1986 bike and shows it it the suspension, brakes and general loosness. I could have tightened it up with a few bolt on parts and some parts being serviced but that defeated the point. I wanted a bike that would slow me down -My self control when Im with a bunch of other bikers is not the best.
