Thanks Chickadee. I was so lucky. Sometimes it is surreal!!! I hope I don't have to go to court cause I don't cope with aggro stuff like that. I don't know what to say.

No worries... your insurance co will recover their losses from him (including your excess), eventually, even if it is at $5 per week...

    An update

The assessor came round today and said the bike is definitely fixable, so he has organised for Haldanes to pick it up in the next few days!!! Yippeee!!!

I am going to physio to get my shoulder and neck sorted.

So all and all - bike and I are going to be mended and will be back out in the world of biking soon.

Thanks to everyone for your words of support and care.

    Why Haldanes?
    They aren't Yamaha dealers.
Ok they were once upon a time, but havent been for a couple of years now.

Henderson Motorcycles Ltd in Henderson are Yamaha dealers, I think Red Baron is too.

Great to hear the bike is going to be repaired thou.

    The bike lives.....

We talked to the assessor about where to take the bike and said that we bought it from Haldanes. He said that they were very good and because they had been Yamaha dealers in the past they would have all the contacts for parts. They have excellent mechanics there too. It didn't seem to be a problem to take it to them for the repairs.
