LOL, she'll love it that you've stuck her weight on the internet for all to see I'm sure. Oh well, at least you don't need to worry about the pillion seat comfort now anyway 'cos she's not likely to want come along anymore.

Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, .... but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out,... shouting "man, what a ride"!!!

Yeah thought that, but apparently I got it wrong anyway!

I wont say what part I got wrong though as that might be pushing it!

Nigel, from what you have been posting, I don't think the TRX is the bike for you. Not unless your Mrs likes travelling with her knees around her ears...

Something like this would be more civilized for touring, yet still alot of fun for a solo fang.

    hey mate,

i saw the one you are talking about, looks half decent.
I have no idea what they're like for pillion but by the looks of those rear pegs, it aint gonna be too comfy unless ur under about 4'6"!!

I have ridden one tho, belongs to a mate of mine here in Palmy, and it is for sale also, (im guessing you have already looked at the auction) see here - i can vouch for this bike (yeah i know, i WOULD say that!) but seriously, it runs well, he has said basically everything there is to know on the auction so i wont go repeating it all but the comments he made about the sound the bike makes....far out, this thing is the best sounding twin i've ever heard....farking thunders down the road, and it is very tidy, he's looked after it well

on the open road the bike isnt at a comfortable speed until you're above about 130 and it's quite an upright position...be very easy on the legs on long trips i reckon (better than my fekkin vfr!), brakes are very good! not sure about all models but his stops pretty impressively....

if you can stretch your funds a but further it might be worth it...but hey, the other one looks pretty tidy too!

all I can say is the trx is not to be underestimated.I had the 2000 model and binned it as well...very fast a top end but handle brilliantly...not sure about pillion comfort tho.
