    Yeah, you are

Anyway, we've got a couple of weeks to think it over and decide.

Awesome stuff! I'm looking forward to seeing the end result.

Here's a little bit of background on that pic of Uncle B.

It was taken on my most memorable and enjoyable ride. Uncle B, myself, Pex Adams and a couple of others decided to do a "Takaka Run!"

A "Takaka Run" is what we termed a Cook Strait crossing followed by a mad dash to the Takaka hills for a couple of crossings and then a mad dash back to Picton (via Blenheim) for the ferry crossing and then home to bed. A truely fine days ride for any Wellingtonian.

The shot was taken as Uncle B began a descent of the Takakas on the Golden Bay side. I remember turning around and seeing this and thinking WTF???
I grabbed the camera and didn't even have time to line up the shot, I just pressed the button and amazingly, it worked. A truely fine photo of Uncle B that explains volumes about him without the need for any words.

I don't think Uncle B would have wanted to be on any other bike riding at any other location on that day. He was loving it! The weather was fantastic, the company was great and everyone was buzzing with the amazing road conditions of those twisties that day.

I'll never forget that ride. It was the highlight of my motorcycling years and it couldn't have been spent in finer company than that of Uncle B.

Just to throw an idea out to the masses ... the place you guys are thinking about putting a seat in, is there a kids' park nearby? Because maybe something like this might be a nice memorial.

    I recall the funeral service:

"In remembrance of Uncle B. What A Wonderful World. 3 Dec 2006"

Trudi, you're doing a great job and I look forward to the seats.

I thought "What A Wonderful World" the song title that was Debbie and Bruce's song, I can still hear Louis Armstrong singing it. And I am sure that whatever is engraved, I won't be disappointed if the title is not incorporated, for me I will sit there and think of Bruce and hear Armstrong. Bruce introduced me to the wonderful world of riding.

    ....

Maybe we could post a poll and go with the majority. There have been 4 variations so that may be the easiest way to get a final decision. What d'ya reckon?

I like this because I also remember this from the funeral service however I feel it is important to have his full name on there as well for those who didn't know him as Uncle B. I know we all did, but his family etc. didn't

Please, no polls or online editorial committee. It's too hard to manage and just plain silly.

I suggest that Trudi takes on board all of the various suggestions that are made, consults with whomever she thinks she needs to (both from within the KB family and Bruce's) and then comes back with her final recommendation.

That would have to be a 90-degree V (-twin), of course.
