    Recall work not done!

I've had my bike (BMW F650CS)in the local dealer for repairs, following my prang. Got them to do a service (done 15,000 km) and mentioned about a whine when de-throttling.
Got a call today to say my front drive sprocket in knackered. It should have been changed as a result of a recall. Same for the rear sprocket and a few other items. BMZ NZ was not pleased that a bike had been sold without the recall work being done. Very naughty of the original dealer.
The front sprocket was so worn, it could have gone at any time. It also damaged the engine drive, so the engine will have to be dropped and the shaft changed.
I'm so glad my local dealer found this all out and I never had a breakdown. OK, so even if it takes a few days longer, it's good news, for me, anyway - new drive sprockets and belt and some other, under-seat seals, too.

My ankle's still swollen and I can't get my boots on. As they saved me from a much more severe break, I'm not going riding until I can get them on.
    I'll just go fishing, instead!

So the recall work is now being done at BMWNZ cost?
So you are not having to pay for that part then, cool. Enjoy the fishing.
