    Rarotongan driver license minimum age?

    Quick question...
I was planning on going to raro in a week and wanted to get my motorbike license over there... From what i've googled the minimum age is either 18, or 21 depending what you look at... So I rang some places and they also add it could be 16, or 18... or 21.... WTF!!!

Can anyone please shed some light on this and let me know the official minimum age please?

    Many Thanks.

Go with 16. Raro tends to be very relaxed with their rules. You should be OK.

Just take your kiwi license with you, present it to who you are going to hire
a scoot off and it shouldnt be a problem.
Just tell them you will get a Raro license when you get into town.
Most places you stay at hire out their own scoots.
Just dont return them full of dirt from the hills or sand from the sea.
Going there on the 23rd June myself for a week.
Stop in at the Tumunu restaurant and say hi to my father, enjoy.

    Ill enligthen the man

In Raro you can sit your FULL bike licence in one foul swoop. But wait, theres more

    Its transferable to NZ

    Goes something like this...

$1,000 return ticket to Raro - $40 to sit your full licence - $50 for a spunky Raro massage - Legally cheat your way into a big ass bike.....Priceless

From what I've found in my travels any international motorbike license allows you to ride anything over here for 12 months after which you have to sit your full. You just have to stick to the overseas license conditions. So if the figi license has no 250cc limit etc, then you're sweetas. Just ring up the LTSA they are very helpful.
