    Big Water!

Have a look at our flooding, pics taken before 3.00pm, high tide is at 5.05. Rain is getting heavier and apparently we have had 260mm in the last 24hrs. We watched the guy in pic 1&2 drive in to the water, and then stop and get out, lucky for him some people came out of the adjacent business to push him thru! We were getting the tow rope ready too!

We're meant to have rain today but apart from a short shower (with some hail) this morning, nothing has eventuated. The water tank is almost full from the rain a week or so back, but more is always welcome!

The road in the pics is Porowini Ave to Poto St. Our house overlooks it and since posting this thread, there have been countless dumbarses who have driven into these rising waters. We can hear them thinking' Ohh..... the waters deeper than I thought...... ohh too late to turn back............ohh the engine has died.' Lots of pushing people out happening.
