This might seem like a strange question to most people but I have no idea of the time frame or steps required for each step of a motorbike license.
can someone fill me in please.

written & basic practical then you have 6 months to learn (learners). then test for practical(restricted). then about a year for a full unless you do a certified course to cut it to 6 months ( recommended ).all this is in the bikers road code
thanks for that
WANTED: VTR250 in red
Those are the minimum times; however, you can take as long as you need to feel confident and capable![]()
Am doing a course on sat to give me the basics. Then just need to get a copy of the road code and study it so I can sit for my learners. can't wait.

Remember, do not repeat my mistake. It ain't Kansas anymore. When my 6 months on learners had expired I just showed up at the LTNZ office only to discover that on this remote island one books practical tests a month in advance. Bummer.
"People are stupid ... almost anyone will believe almost anything. Because people are stupid, they will believe a lie because they want to believe it's true, or because they are afraid it might be true. People's heads are full of knowledge, facts, and beliefs, and most of it is false, yet they think it all true ... they can only rarely tell the difference between a lie and the truth, and yet they are confident they can, and so all are easier to fool." -- Wizard's First Rule
