I don't think I should go out in a race on my first ride of a bucket! Would probably seriously worry the other riders as they came around to lap me for the 3rd time. Can just imagine them coming up behind me thinking "oh christ, here we go again..." as I wobble through corners taking an "imaginative" line in front of them... Not such a good look.

How does one get into bucket racing and avoid this sort of scenario? Or is there a beginners group or something? It'd probably take me a few laps to get used to the bike, and probably another few decades to get up to anything like an acceptable pace...

Well there is a practice first,

Nah don't worry youll be sweet you just stick to your line and don't swerve hardout and you'll be sweet as.

First time I went out I was doing quite well, not coming last or anything certainly.

Come out for the first bears meet, get a day licence and away you go.

Like to see you try and use that as a toe or knee slider. I bet if you cooled it enough to solidify it it probably does too (maybe?)

You'd have to be mad to use mercury - and if you weren't before, you would be afterwards...

I don't think it would spark, it would just melt and go liquid again.

Try "vaporise" - the boiling point is bloody low.
