    Free roll chart creating software

If any of you are organising a ride and want to create roll charts (seems the rest of the world calls them Road Books so we must be special) then this software is definatly worth a look. It has been developed by a guy in sweden, is available for free and I recon it can be used with our click clack container holders.

The width of the roll charts is able to be modified to suit any width container. There is a function called print multiple colums but it is not working with the current download version (has previously worked and is on the list of bug fixes for next release). Only issue with not being able to print multiple columns is paper wastage but could reused paper (could turn paper around and put back in printer).

Definatly plan on trying out and testing more. Hope this is helpful for others. I'm happy to try and help if any questions as have already played with it a bit.

    Cheers R

Very interesting, so did you do the DB roll sheets manually in a spreadsheet program or something then?

I did the DB chart in Autocad at work. Set up a template for the cells for a page - made lots of copies of it, then set up direction arrow templates. Had to manually do the km's and road names. Biggest pain in the arse was going back to modify a reset point as had to redo all the km's or if I wanted to add another cell as had to shift all of the cells. CAD was better than doing it with spreadsheet for the drawing but could have done the km's easier in excel. I know that you can put functions etc into CAD but never been there before. This software deals with all of the issues except for the printing but this should be fixed some time though.

Took about 10 mins to re do the first page of the DB last night (just to play with software).

    Been playing.
Got the Dusty Butt 1000 Part 2 done.
    Am I using it correctly?

    Wish it'd print multi-columns

Looks like you've done a pretty good job. Not planning on even taking the roll chart for the secoond half. Going to see how good my memory is!

    I know what you mean
After all the fiddling, GPS'ing, roll charting you pretty much have the route imbedded in your retinas.
