I don't get sick very often, so I'm not enjoying it at all.
Worst thing is sneezing inside your helmet. But I guess it's better than throwing up in it...
    ... and that's what I think.

done both of those before hahahaha the throwing up isn't very good thats why you need an open face helmet from time to time

I'm having problems finding a replacement right rear indicator. New is $110, and available ex-Japan (2 weeks) so I'm trying to track down a secondhand one. If I don't get the bike fixed, my wife'll want to take the car to go to my sister's wedding instead of the bike (her idea!), so I don't really want to wait two weeks. Might have to buy some glue on the way home....

    Oooh, that sucks. Commiserations.

Remember to claim the replacement helmet on home contents insurance. Aren't you *so* glad you were wearing one?

Hope you're not concussed, keep a careful eye on yourself. See a physio if the neck starts to hurt or headaches appear. Easy to compress a vertebra falling off like that.

A head cold does affect your riding. I remember seeing some research abstract somewhere or other indicating that having a cold or flu gave a greater chance of unpleasant incidences than below-the-limit drinking before driving.

Is it worth it? My "no claims" bonus and the excess are probably WAAAY more than the cost of a helmet. And it's only a $50 helmet, remember. Mustn't overcapitalise my defective head. Maybe if I hadn't been wearing one, I might've knocked some sense into myself. Mebbe.

Have the headache already, another one due when I get home....

Good. Something to blame. Maybe my wife will go easier on me.
OR - I could just not tell her! The indicator's fixed as good as new - got a metre or two of sellotape wrapped around it tying it to the Ventura rack. And if I kick the front indicator on the other side so they match, she'll never know. You know how women are...

I didn't know home contents insurance had 'no claims' bonuses. My excess is $200.

Are you SURE? AGV is, after all, a premium brand (ahem). It's a pity your head shape has changed in the last few years, of course, thereby requiring you to purchase a $1200 Arai to achieve an equivalent level of protection.

Reminds me of my personal action plan for when I upgrade the FXR: arrive home after sunset, park the new bike out the back, wait and see how many days it takes before she notices it.

Man sorry to about you little off firestromer, gald you are mostly okay as well. I've seen these really trick a/m indicators, think they're $80 a side, stainless finish tiny but bright, look gorgeous, kerry does them at motohaus. I'd get them myself if i hadn't just blown my bionus on new tyres, chain n sprockets and the front brakes with new seals and braided lines on the way, shit adds up pretty quickly.

Hope you get it all sorted and you get over your cold sooner than later.
GSXR wiping the shit that is that Honda, Yamaha and Kawasaki off the road since '85'

Deepest sympathies Firestormer. I had a similar event about a month ago. We can compare fairings if you go on the Waikato Ride.

Sounds to me like you have concussion. No fun at all. Watch out for the sudden moods swings (rage, depression) over the next couple of days.

And spend more than 50 feckin dollars on the next lid!
The more you know the less you need

If you are interested FS, I have a AGV Xvent lid in brand new condition. Size is ML. Clear & tinted faceshields. Bought for G/F - long since XG/F. Used only a dozen times at most. Size is too big for me.

hey - not sure about the std indicators - but if you decide to do aftermarket - talk to lou about some buell ones.
they are exactly the same as the KTM ones (nice) and sooo cheap.
i usually have a pair on hand at all times - but just used mine on a friends damages SRX 600. from memory, they were $25 ish each!
