Fell off at 220 and went through a wire fence. No shit. 2 witnesses.

I'm fine. I haven't looked at the pics because I've seen them before I think. I doubt they're real or at least they've put a body through a dismembering device to make it look worse.

Shinya Nakano has come off at 305kmh and raced the following week.

He slid for ever and a day but didn't hit anything.

A lot of it is luck.

    Me suspects photochop.
I would hate to be proven otherwise though.

Very graphic is right! I've seen similar pics before and I can't say they've shocked me enough into riding slower!

The last thing I want to do when out riding is mediatate on graphic bloody body parts, and imagining my precious bike binned and on fire - get real!!

You'd be lucky to find a couple of nice steaks on that fella (WT) - maybe a schnitzel ?

I know of someone that had to pick up a friend after a fatal crash and one of the things he noted was that even if you fall of at the legal speed if you hit anything you going to pick up some serious injuries. Its not pretty sight to go and fetch a friend or family member and my thoughts are with the family and friends cause even if this happend a long time ago it still will be on there minds

It's the sudden stop that kills you.

Some crap is talked around here at times.

He's dead. Whether he died doing something he liked or not is immaterial.

The beating or not of your heart has nothing at all to do with whether you bleed immediately after death or not. As for the friction evaporating the blood theory, puh-lease...

This dead gent was cut in half, presumably by the impact. Desanguination would have therefore been extremely rapid. Where the various body parts are assembled probably isn't the exact accident site.

Despite popular views, speed does not kill. Severe and sudden impact does.
