    Taxed, snapt, busted, just desserts

what ever you want to call it

    no more stealth mode

    Me-4, Bacon-1

    they know who I am

    GAME OVER

I have always made a point of pretending not to notice the fuzz unless they are right on my tail, this policy has stood me in good steed for years, not necessarily doing a runner, but not stopping either.

Today I was passing a car on the way to work(late again), when the oncoming car lit up like a Christmas tree, , so I check my speed ~125, and look around me, wet road, no oncoming traffic, only two cars behind me (one with flashing lights, one with a smug old lady in it) too far from work to run and hide, so I decided to pull over and get a bollocking, seeing as I wasn't likely to lose my licence, although I was a bit worried about the status of said license, among other things

and encountered the most approachable cop I have ever met! "only" done me for speed, 122 checked 35 demerits, ouch, but there seemed to be some sort of confusion as to the "status" of my and warrant, so he let me off rater than wait for confirmation, so I wouldn't be any later for work than I was already, cool eh.

although this has cost me $170/35pts, I really appreciate the fact that the cop was prepared to overlook all the other infringements that were hanging around me like flies, he could have cost me 1000s and confiscated my bike if he wanted.

I though I was screwed when he noted that I had an extensive prior history of traffic offenses, but when I pointed out that I hadn't been caught for 10 years, he just grinned and said he had been after me for months

Cheers to the mufti for being fair , I am a bit ashamed for getting a ticket, but I am proud of myself for not doing a runner.

I wonder if I could have made it?

2km of straightish highway to hiding place, no traffic to use as blockers, mufti commodore vs CBX400........

I think I did the right thing

    No question
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

    So do I.....
Seriously though, you got off lightly as I am sure you know, sounds like the cop was pretty decent about it and running is usually not a good idea.
Good onya for manning up when the time came.

Hahaha! Hey fellow law infringer! Sounds like you caught some good luck there -- hopefully me too, and my letterbox stays empty for a week or so.

I suppose there were many advantages to that Z200, one of them being 125kph doesn't come up quite so easily

Always better to stop and take it than run and have them catch you and shove it up there so hard you spit pubes.

they are just like us, have a look at your workplace and there are people who you would class as "good" guys and others who would be classed as pricks sounds like you met a good guy. i got pulled over lots in the 70s and 80s on bikes and never got a ticket it all comes down to attitude if you dont puss up 9 times out of 10 they wont either

    SPEED KILLS

he went on and on about the fine too, till I pointed out that I had been dodging cops for 10 years, and this one is like losing money on a poker machine, then he said "well thats not BREAKING THE LAW is it?" I broke the law, I do it every day to some degree, I got caught, I'll pay the fine, thats the risk I take. anyways I could always go out and clock up 100000s and swap it for fuck all PD on saturdays
