Thread: What a mess.....

    What a mess.....

Power was out last night from 1.30pm til 8.. Phone was out... All cellphone coverage was gone... Mum was unable to make it home to make sure my brother and I were ok... My partner was unable to get here... As both exits from his place were blocked by slips...

Well... I've just been for the first drive with mum to have a look at the aftermath of our heavy rainfall here in Northland....

All I can say is... What a mess......... Water has washed through so many houses.... Theres been so many slips.... Retaining walls have collapsed.... Its really hard seeing the damage that has been done.... People I know who are emptying their houses out....

Mum reckons it is the worst flood she has seen in the whole 21 years she has been living here...

    Its horrible....

The harbour is BROWN as far as the eye can see...

You can see where the water level once was..... The thought of it is absolutely horifying.... Roads that you wouldn't think could end up under water... Did.... The height of which the water rose... I just can't believe it...

My thoughts are out there to the families who have lost everything they own.... I know of a few who have lost everything.... My heart goes out to them...

pics in another thread from the day after.

even your a fair way from where i am but we copped it bad too. lots of mess. but i got to have a kayak in a paddock which had about 6 - 10 ft of water in it. there was lots of water front property up here.

one thing about the cattle here, dam they are dum. and i think the farmers around here have been hanging around their cows to long, as i wonder whom is dummer. farmers were way to slow to react. bloody dumb shits.
but i hope it all gets cleaned up soon. but saturday's forcast aint looking pretty so be warned as the ground is allready saturated.

Water by the rugby grounds would have been way over the top of mums car judging by the waterline...

All the shops have been full of water... Seen people I know shifting all their stuff outside...

Scary stuff... Someone I know had their retaining wall collapse and send a huge pole into their house...

Stone store basin.... All I can say is people got what they wanted when it comes to the bridge...

Please have some thought for the devestation that was inflicted on Auckland!
Several lattes and an espressosomefuckinshitachino, were spilt on Ponsnobby Rd and dialup was far slower than normal.

T.I.E. Have you emailed TV3 those pics? They were broadcasting emailed photo's last night.

Tropical Cyclone Becky is being held responsible for the bad weather.

She died of loneliness. Loneliness and rabies.
